David F. Lehmann,
SUNY Distinguished Service Professor, Founder of Housecalls for the Homeless
David F. Lehmann, SUNY Distinguished Service Professor, is an internist and clinical pharmacologist at Upstate Medical University. Dr. Lehmann founded “Housecalls for the Homeless” under the auspices of SUNY Upstate. This program provides medical care, free of charge to our homeless sisters and brothers directly on the street, at area shelters, and at the Rahma Clinic.
He has dedicated extensive time to academic leadership as chair of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, chief of the Clinical Pharmacology Inpatient Consult Service, and chief of the Section of Clinical Pharmacology in the Departments of Medicine and Pharmacology. He previously served as vice chair of the Department of Medicine and chief of the Division of General Medicine. Dr. Lehmann also served as the medical director of the SUNY-NYS Department of Health Collaborative for Medication Use, designed to enhance the safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness of the NYS Medicaid formulary and to educate providers through the NYS Medicaid Prescriber Education Program.
Dr Lehmann is a member of the Board of Regents for the American College of Clinical Pharmacology. He has practiced in Saipan, hospital pharmacy director in Kenya, and educator and consultant in the development of pharmacology curricula in Nepal and India. More recently, he has provided service through medical relief missions to Haiti, Ecuador, and Puerto Rico.

Emmy nominated veteran anchor and author Christie Casciano is a graduate of Syracuse University's Newhouse School of Public Communications. After reporting for WROC-TV in Rochester, Christie was eager to return home to her big Italian family in Syracuse to join the NewsChannel 9 team and the station she grew up watching.

Christie has covered many major stories that has impacted the Central New York community and developed NewsChannel 9's OnTheLookout.net, a crime franchise that has been recognized statewide for its efforts to help keep neighborhoods safe.
