VESTAL, N.Y. — Five Star Urgent Care formally opened its location at 2549 Vestal Parkway East on Saturday, March 18 before beginning operations and accepting patients on Monday, March 20.
The noon-hour ribbon cutting was part of a three-hour open house at the facility.
The office represents Five Star’s expansion into the Binghamton area, it said in a news release announcing the formal-opening event.
Five Star describes itself as an emergency room “alternative,” offering treatment for non-life threatening ailments.
Five Star entered the Syracuse market in May 2013 when it opened a new facility on Route 11 in Cicero.
It also operates offices in Clay, the Fairmount area of Camillus, Fayetteville, Ithaca, Big Flats, and Jamestown.
