SBA backs nearly $169 million in loans in Syracuse district

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) backed 682 loans totaling nearly $169 million under its two main loan programs in its Syracuse district during the 2012 fiscal year.

New York’s unemployment rate fell to 7.8 percent in April from 8.2 percent in March, hitting its lowest level since March 2009. That’s according to preliminary figures the New York State Department of Labor released today.
