Warehouse renovation earns LEED platinum status

The redeveloped former Lincoln Supply warehouse earned a platinum rating from the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) program.

New York farms produced 108 million eggs in April, up 2 percent from the year-ago period, according to Blair Smith, state statistician at the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service, New York Field Office.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Tuesday announced an agreement between the state and the St. Regis Mohawk tribe to resolve a three-year dispute over gaming issues.

Under the agreement, the state will remove the eight-county Saint Regis Mohawk exclusivity zone from the proposed casino-siting legislation. The tribe will also pay the state $30 million in payments owed and 25 percent of future gaming revenues.

SYRACUSE — U.S. Representative Daniel Maffei (D–DeWitt) today announced he is seeking feedback from business owners in Central New York on ways to spur growth and hiring.

Maffei has released a 22-question online survey that includes questions about the challenges business owners face and what they need to grow and create more jobs, Maffei’s office said in a news release.
